Starts Sunday 4th May 2025
Sabr and Shukr CIC are pleased to introduce Blackburn's first Home Herbalist Programme to become confident in using naturopathic home remedies for personal use.
Traditional healing knowledge is fading generationally and as people try to regain it, this has become difficult due to mixed messages online.
As acute and chronic conditions continue to rise, with access to healthcare services becoming strained, we have recognised a need to educate the community around how we can re-learn natural medicine, naturopathic principles and herbal remedies to incorporate into our lives.
Every month we focus on one essential remedy and how to prepare and use it in your own home for natural healing.
Learn remedies for various common ailments including stress, bone fractures, digestive issues, sleep problems and more.
We will guide you through both modern techniques and time-tested traditional remedies offering a holistic approach to wellness.
Part of our vision is to have a herbalist in every home to ensure the knowledge and wisdom can be used now and for future generations.
At the end of the 12 months, you will go away with the knowledge to use natural remedies for common ailments you will come across in your families.
You will:
Build confidence to explore and combine different ingredients safely
Have knowledge of use, benefits and risk of various natural/herbal ingredients
Be able to make remedies for personal and family use
Have made your own naturopathic 'first aid kit'
Can deal with common ailments and first aid complaints
